Dr Fran Finn

Fran is passionate about developing exceptional leaders.

She has an extensive background in Leadership and Executive Coaching, holding senior leadership positions, including as Director, Leadership Coaching and Executive Programs within the QUT Graduate School of Business and QUTeX Executive Education. Fran is responsible for successfully delivering global Leadership Coaching education as Course Coordinator for the Executive Graduate Certificate in Business (Leadership Coaching) and establishing 'The Leadership Coaching Practice' within QUTeX, with responsibility for leading and developing 40 senior leadership coaches across Australia. Fran also hosted the QUT 'Leadership Coaching Conference: Crossing Boundaries', bringing together international and domestic experts to share the latest leadership coaching insights.

She is recognised as an Association for Coaching Fellow, acknowledging her longstanding coaching experience, service and contribution to the industry. Her work is extensively in leadership development, providing individual and group coaching for senior executives, and facilitating executive development programs.

Fran commenced in Human Resource Management in 1990 and has combined HR practice with delivering adult learning in academia for more than 30 years; she has been a past recipient of Innovation in Teaching awards and was previously named University Mentor Coordinator of the Year.

Since 1999, she has acquired specialist knowledge in personal and professional development through Executive Coaching and has consulted in many successful large-scale leadership development programs across a wide range of industries.

In 2000 Fran designed an Executive Coaching program that she trained a team of specialists to deliver to industry. In 2007 she completed a PhD examining 'Executive Coaching as an Alternate Leadership Development Tool', for which she was awarded the Dean’s Commendation for Excellent Doctoral Thesis.

Fran particularly enjoys drawing upon evidence-based techniques to develop healthy leaders and teams and coaching them to flourish in our uncertain world. Her research is widely reported within the coaching field, and she is called upon by media to comment and present the outcomes of her research nationally and internationally. She is also enthusiastic about supporting the professionalism of coaching through her voluntary role on the Association for Coaching Qld Leadership Team.

Fran also has extensive and ongoing experience as an investor managing residential and commercial property developments, securities and digital assets.
